The Egregious Error Tally was re-established in Week 3 after two weeks of gross mismanagement of Tin Man's team.
Playoffs:
Tin Man, 1 for failing to submit Playoff picks.
Week 17:
Sandman, 2 Egregious Errors, 1 for failing to submit Pick 'Em
picks, and 1 for failing to submit a Last Man Standing team (4th offense).
Week 16:
Sandman, 1 for not choosing a Last Man Standing team (third offense).
Week 15:
Tin Man, 3 Egregious Errors, 1 for failing to represent
Tampa Bay the required number of times (4 times instead of 16), 1 for
failing to represent Tennessee the required number of times (5 times instead
of 16), and 1 for failing to participate throughout the season, resulting
in exponentially gross mismanagement that led to the use of a substitute
owner to submit rosters for weeks 14 and 15 and to continue with the rest
of the competition. The penalties from the under representation resulted
in the first ever finish in negative points.
Week 14:
Sandman, 1 for not having any backup quarterbacks listed. Jake
Delhomme (number 2 quarterback) was out with an injury in week 14. Since
no backups were listed, Sandman took a zero for that roster slot. Had
Sandman ranked Drew Brees, for example, as the number 3 quarterback, he
would have gotten 90% of his 648 smallworld points (583.2 points).
Week 13:
Tin Man, 1 for ranking Donovan McNabb as the number one quarterback
(again), even though he is done for the season (still), and having a backup
quarterback who doesn't play (Kurt Warner) as his number three quarterback.
Sandman, 1 for not choosing a Last Man Standing team (second offense).
Week 12:
Tin Man, 1 for ranking Donovan McNabb as the number one quarterback,
even though he is done for the season, and having a backup quarterback
who doesn't play (Kurt Warner) as his number three quarterback.
Week 10:
White Russian, 1/2 for failing to submit a valid Last Man Standing
team (first offense).
Week 9:
Tin Man, 1 for playing 7 players in their bye week (failed to
submit a roster).
Week 8:
Tin Man, 1 for failing to submit a valid Last Man Standing pick
for the second week in a row (fourth offense).
Week 7:
Tin Man, 1 for failing to submit a valid Last Man Standing pick
(third offense). Tin Man attempted to use a team he has been restricted
from choosing (Denver).
Week 6:
Tin Man, 1 for not choosing a Last Man Standing team (second
offense). 1 for playing 2 players in their bye week (no roster submitted).
Week 4:
Sandman, .5 for not choosing a Last Man Standing team (first
offense). 1.25 for making no roster moves when his #1 runningback, Shaun
Alexander, was out with a broken foot, and no Dallas players were represented
after coming off a bye week and facing a weak Tennessee team. Sandman's
#4 runningback, Adrian Peterson, came through with zero points, while
Dallas runningback, Julius Jones, listed as Sandman's #5 runningback had
a good game (304 smallworld points). Peterson has one carry for one yard
through the first four games of the season.
Week 3:
Tin Man, .5 for not choosing a Last Man Standing team (first
offense). 1.25 for continued neglect of his roster after the admonition
in week 2. Tin Man failed to submit a roster for week 3 and therefore
carried over his flawed roster from week 2, which included 3 players on
a bye week. This roster also included third string running back Earnest
Graham of Tampa Bay, who managed his one and only SmallWorld point for
the season in week 3. Notably absent from his roster was Brian Westbrook,
who totalled 516 points in week 3, after a 277 point week 2. Westbrook's
two week total of 793 was lost while Tin Man managed to get 1 point out
of Graham in the two week period. The bye week trio (Larry Johnson, Dante
Hall, and Tony Gonzalez) could have been replaced by Edgerrin James (260),
Reggie Brown, who stepped up for injured Donte Stallworth (222), and L.J.
Smith (104) for a difference of 586 points. The insistence on Graham for
the last 2 weeks and the inclusion of the bye week trio has reasonably
resulted in a loss of 1,378 points. If you add in those lost points, Tin
Man could be in the thick of the race. His potential 7,083.7 points would
put him in third, only 129.7 points behind first place and only 11.1 points
behind second. And this does not even factor in that Westbrook probably
would have been the number 1 back in week 3, giving him a 10% bonus, or
51.6 more points, which could have placed Tin Man in second place, behind
by only 78.1 points.
Tin Man's week 2 egregiousness was centered around his choices at runningback:
Tin Man - picks up Earnest Graham as his #3 running back, with J.J. Arrington as his #4 (first backup if one of the top three is injured). Graham is the third string running back behind Cadillac Willams and Michael Pittman, and now has no carries through the first two games of the season. Arrington is the backup to Edgerrin James, who was notably absent from Tin Man's top 6 running backs. James was good for 208 smallworld points in week two (compared to zero for Graham). The second backup (#5 overall behind Graham and Arrington) was Brian Westbrook, who was good for 277 smallworld points. Also absent from the six running backs was New England's Corey Dillon, who was good for 220 smallworld points.
